Getting to Chapel Cottage in Warham

The arrival information supplied with your final payment contains a map and directions. A map of the area is also available here

Broadband & WiFi

We do have fast broadband but please bear in mind this is Norfolk and so whilst the speed as been reasonable since it's installation in September 2020, we can not guarantee reliability nor speed.

Rural location

Chapel Cottage is in a rural location. There may be some animal noise (cows, horses, foxes etc), nocturnal visitors (foxes, hedgehogs, bats etc) and occasional noise from passing farm machinery. In rural areas, flora & fauna, insects and other pests are fairly common and not necessarily an indication of poor housekeeping standards. Whilst preventative action is always taken by the owners, these pests can never be eradicated completely.

Access & mobility

As with older character cottages, Chapel Cottage has Kite-Winder stairs which are enclosed, steep, curved & narrow. They are uncarpeted. There are many changes in level between the rooms and out into the garden and the height of some doorways, is lower than modern standards, reflecting the age of the cottage. The stairs leading from the Dining Room to the Master Bedroom may not be suitable for older guests, younger children or those with limited mobility. Below we have tried to give examples of features in line with many cottages of this age.

Should you have any questions about the suitability of the cottage for your forthcoming holiday, please do contact us.

Food & Drink

We would love you to try the many offerings from Norfolk's local farmers, food producers, restaurants and independent shops during your stay.  Why not visit to one of the local farm shops listed here?

Waitrose & Sainsburys deliver to Warham and we have found their service to be reliable in our limited experience. There is a small Co-op & Nisa in Wells just 2.5 miles from the cottage. Morrisons and Tesco supermarkets are located in Fakenham.

Car Parking

There is ample car-parking at Chapel Cottage. We have recently installed an Andersen 7kw electric vehicle (EV) charging point, so that our guests are able to plug in their vehicle overnight. Model: Andersen A2. 7kw  EV Charger, 8.5m tethered cable with Type 2 connector.

While we do have outside lighting at the cottage, there is little light pollution in North Norfolk and street lighting is limited so we recommend bringing a touch. The plus is that the garden & surround area are great star gazing!

Facilities

The cottage is well equipped to deal with all your holiday needs. Should you have any specific queries or requirements, please do ask, by emailing enquiries@chapelcottagenorfolk.co.uk or review our facilities page.

Maximum Occupancy

We recommend a maximum of four adults at Chapel Cottage. The Twin Bedroom has two single beds and can only be accessed via either the Master or Double bedrooms as shown in our floor plan. Chapel Cottage may not be occupied by persons other than those specified at the time of booking or with prior consent of the owner.
